Do-it-Yourself Plans, Patent Modules, Blueprints, or any other questions.

Below is a list of questions we have received, and a few anticipated questions.

General Questions

1. Are you accepting orders? Is the site operational?
   • Currently we are in pre-launch status. We will be releasing the "Legend Blaster Potato Launcher Plans" on April 15th. Following that will be a blueprint and several patent modules. It will take a little time for the site to become fully stocked, but we will be open on or around the 11th.
2. I've been to another site with the same looking plans, are you aware of this?
   • Yes. We own those sites. We own a vast network of websites all related to DIY plans, patents, and blueprints. Our entire network of sites ALL have our DIYinnovation.com logo and "owned by" in the footer. If you do find or see a website that does not have that, and they have what appears to be one of our cover photos, or it appears any of our copyrighted material or photos has been stolen, report it to us, we will check it out, if it's not legit, we will give you a 50. reward. NOTE: Do not play a game by having your friend (or you) throw up something so you can collect the rewarded. We will PROSECUTE whomever it is with the ripped material and anyone connected we can find.

Payments

1. Do you accept any other payment besides Paypal?
   • Not at this time, no. We will be installing SSL and processing on site in the near future. In the meantime, Paypal is easy, free, and secure. Before we add our own on site payment processing, we need to finish the site and ensure it is hacker proof and secure as we take your privacy and security very seriously.
2. Do you except credit cards?
   • Yes, via secure Paypal.

Upgrade Guarantee

1. Is there really a point for your upgrade guarantee, lot's of people claim something like this and never actually offer any improvements, what's up, do I really have anything to gain?
   • Well, we certainly understand that and have actually done business with companies that make those claims but never actually upgrade or improve, so we know. That is exactly why we will offer this to you, because we WILL improve and upgrade in some way, we just can't leave well enough alone, and this is good for you. We always see room for improvement whether it be in the design of the product or the plan layout and design. I guarantee you if you buy any of our plans, patent modules, or blueprints you will one day get an email from us with your upgrade download link.

2. How does the upgrade work? Do I need to check in or something for the upgrades?
   • No, you do not need to check in. All you need to do to receive your free upgrade, is keep your email address current with us. If you change your email after your purchase, simply send us a note with your receipt number and we will make the email change in the system. How it works is this: When an upgrade is ready, we will send out an email to you notifying you of the upgrade. You will be provided with the link to download your upgrade, pretty simple. If you do not keep your email address current, then we cannot notify you!

Do it Yourself Plans

1. Once I make payment, how do I receive my Plan?
   • Once payment is completed and verified (almost always instantly except with echecks), you will be taken to a secure download area where you can download your purchase which is a zipped PDF. You will have 47 hours to complete your download, then the download link will expire. If for some reason you have a computer problem and need the time extended, contact us with you receipt number. If you have any problems going to the download area after your purchase, send us an email to and we will look into it immediately.
     Technology is wonderful but not perfect. So if you have any problems getting your download, don't get all riled up, we are here and will take care of it for you quickly.
2. I like the instant download, but do you have a CD also?
   • Not yet. We will be offering in the near future both a CD and a Hardcopy. For now the PDF download serves the needs of most people very well. It's instant, so no waiting for it in the mail, and PDF is compatible on any computer system.
3. How many pages are in your plans?
   • Well, that completely depends on the plan. The simpler the plan and it's design, the shorter it is.
     Example, our "Legend Blaster Potato Launcher Plans" I believe is 42 pages. A more complex plan maybe like a "Biodiesel Fuel Processor" is much more then 42 pages, more like over a 100. We don't fill our pages with fluff and lots of dead white space either like "many" plan sellers do. We FILL the pages. Nothing is more irritating then scrolling through a plan or document with tons of dead white space, jeez!
4. I've gotten plans before and I was pissed when I found out they were just plain text written in notepad, are any of your plans like this?
   • Absolutely not! All of our plans are designed using Adobe Indesign® software. This is the most powerful and capable document layout and design software, and we take full advantage of that.
     Our layouts are clean, easy to read, plenty of illustrations and photos, tips, and much more. The plans out there using text editors are not even in our ballpark.
5. What if I have a question while building one of your plans?
   • That's no problem. Although we have gone to great lengths to try to answer and anticipate questions when we design and write our plans, should you have a question while building the plan, we'll be happy to answer you. Inside the plan you will find a FAQ section, you will also find a Problem Solving section, and a plan support email just for plan building questions!

Patent Modules

1. How many patents do I receive in a module?
   • That depends on the patent module! It can vary from 100 to 300 patents. You will never find a patent module with less then 100 patent designs. Unfortunately, some "other" people try to sell groups of patents for pretty hefty money, and only give you 30 patents. Give me a break! We guarantee you'll always get 100 minimum, usually more. All patent modules are clearly labeled and marked with the number of patents in that module, so you'll know before you make a purchase the number your getting.
2. Can I build something from one of the patents?
   • Technically, no. Patents are just that, patents. This means they are protected inventions. We are not attorneys, so we won't give you legal advice. Bottom line, don't build something, and try and sell it, show it to anyone, etc.

Blueprints

1. How do your blueprints come?
   • PDF document. While conventional thinking pictures a blueprint as a big sheet, this is not required, it's just been a standard. You can easily print out the blueprints for example, for a 1911 pistol. You can then reference from those in your shop. Having the PDF format actually takes out any confusion when viewing the drawings. The 1911 blueprints will have for example a blueprint of the slide on one page, the frame on another, etc.. This makes it real easy to view the part you want.
2. Do you offer blueprints on velum?
   • No. We may consider doing this if the demand is high enough. For now, the way we have laid out and formatted the PDF works very well.

DIY Private Membership

1. What is the private membership, what do I get?
   • It's really quite simple. If you become a subscriber (we only ask for name and email), we give you access to a private member (subscriber) area we created. Everything in there is free. Free plans, how to DIY, DIY skill training, and other useful info. You can download whatever you like for your own personal use. Fresh content will be added on a scheduled basis, so you'll always find something new. (currently not live yet, will be soon)
2. What if I just want the free downloads then unsubscribe?
   • Sure, you can do that. You'll be able to download whatever you can find there. Once you unsubscribe, you'll lose access to the private area. Yes, you'll have the password, but that is changed on occasion and only subscribers receive the new login info by email.

Free DIY Articles

1. Can I use your DIY articles on my website?
   • Yes. Just click the download link you find next to that particular article. They are in PDF format and cannot be changed. The article must remain as is. You are free to post the article on your website, offer it as a free download for your visitors, or as a free download to your newsletter subscribers. You cannot convert the PDF to html. Use it the way it is as a PDF. These articles are copyrighted material and cannot be altered or sold.
2. Can I submit an article for your DIY article page?
   • Yes. Use our  Contact form and tell us about your article. DO NOT submit your article yet, we would like a summary first. If we are interested we will request you send us your article for approval. Your article must be related to DIY, outdoor survival, outdoor skills, DIY skills, self sufficiency, or similar and be non competitive. Meaning if your website sells plans, it's a no go. You will retain your copyright for your work, but the article will be published and laid out by DIYinnovation.com on the DIY article page, and as a PDF download for visitors. You will be credited, and a link to your website.
